Contact: info@zagimun.org

After successfully founding and organizing the first three editions of the ZAGIMUN conference in 2007, 2008, and 2009, Lea Kašpar, Mihael Šutalo, Iva Šulentić and Filip Žafran now form part of the ZAGIMUN Supervisory Board. As such, they monitor the work of the Executive Committee and are meant to pass on their know-how to the new team. Besides that, they are the link between the EXCOM and the Secretariat as well as between EXCOM and ZAGINEWS, while at the same time assisting the EXCOM in contacting ZAGIMUN sponsors and patrons. For more information about the Board Members, follow the links to the 'about us' sections of the ZAGIMUN 2007, ZAGIMUN 2008 and ZAGIMUN 2009 websites.

Margareta Klinčić
Born in 1987, Margareta is currently doing her Master's in Computer Science at the University of Zagreb. After being introduced to the MUN world just a few months ago (thanks to Matija), she had a privilege to participate in this year's edition of GIMUN - raising her placard on behalf of Timor-Leste. It all came so suddenly and definitely not planned but it made her remember how it was to be alive and she had a blast. That is why she is so enthusiastic and determined to make ZAGIMUN even better! Together with Ana and the Supervisory Board, she will work her fingers to the bone so as to ensure pots of money (even in this melancholy-depressing-crisis times) and make yours (and ours) ZAGIMUN 2010 an unforgettable experience!

Sara Skinner

Sara Skinner
Sara is from Canada, the land that brought maple syrup, Celine Dion, and peacekeeping to the world. Learning about international conflicts that plagued the world inspired her to focus her studies on international affairs, first with an undergraduate degree in Political Science with a focus on International Development, then on a masters degree in Conflict Analysis with a concentration on Ethnic and Political Conflict. She has worked and lived internationally in various capacities in Tanzania and Sudan, and always has an eye out for the next adventure and/or opportunity to challenge herself.
Getting an early start while in high school, Sara has participated in many Model United Nations within Canada and internationally. One of her favorite MUN experiences was at the first ever ZAGIMUN in 2007 where she was a Chair of the Human Rights Council. After such a wonderful experience a few short years ago, there was not a moment’s hesitation when the opportunity to return to Zagreb presented itself. Now, she is thrilled to have the opportunity to share the beautiful city- the incredible food, the unbelievable fun, the amazing people…and the extraordinary experience that is ZAGIMUN with you!

Genuine harmony must come from the heart, it cannot come from the barrel of a gun. – HH the Dalai Lama

Assistant Secretary General
Matija Blaće

Matija Blaće
Matija comes from a small town on the coast called Šibenik, and today he studies law in Zagreb. He began going international with parliamentary debate with several national and international successes, including three international finals and one domestic debate champion award.
MUN`s came as a natural extension to “pure” debate, with the added flavour of international relations. Starting with ZAGIMUN 2007, he`s been to nine such conferences now, five of those as a chair, every time in a different council. He`s proud to call himself a “MUNkey”!
Despite having travelled a lot, he still thinks of the ZAGIMUN as his home conference, and is always glad to help in any capacity. ZAGIMUN encompasses all the best that MUN`s have to offer – great debates, great parties, great people, all together for a great experience. Looking forward to meeting you all!

She is really happy to be part of ZAGIMUN 2010's team and looks forward to welcoming the Security Council delegates together with Johannes in Zagreb.

As for his MUN experience, he participated in EUROSIM (2009 & 2010), GöMUN, BIMUN, and plans to attend BRIMUN and SOFIMUN this year. This is his third time chairing, after DISEC at MOSTIMUN and SC at elbMUN. As one can see he is truly infected with the so called MUN-virus and he is very much looking forward to having an intense time with all of you in Zagreb. Apart from chairing with Caterina and working with the delegates through many heated debates, he is also looking forward to the evening program and therefore would say his MUN-motto definitely is: Work hard! Party hard!
